Kevington Pre-Cast Brick Arches

Manchester Brick & Precast , a division of Kevington Building Products, manufacture structural and non structural brick arches using the precast technique.

This alternative to prefabrication (bonding) involves cutting a positive key in the back of the masonry and casting concrete onto the rear face thereby creating a mechanical bond between the face and the structural backing concrete. This is sometimes the preferred method and arches can be manufactured to lengths of 8 metres / 5 tonnes!
